Creativity Coaching
For artists, a period of stasis, or a block, as some call it, can be an unavoidable part of the creative journey. Though it can take many forms, the condition is often devastating. In this state of deadened inspiration, the artist's work can slow to a halt, affecting livelihood as well as emotional and spiritual life. Blocks can suck the life out of artists' expressive surges.
By implementing a powerful model of recovery, I enable artists (visual and performing) to become reconnected to their creative process. Material is generated in each session to foster inspiration. Hands-on art exercises are designed in order to spark creative momentum, which artists are then able to take out of my office, and into their studio, study, or stage. Meetings also provide the artist with the skills to identify and anticipate future "dry spells", in order to avoid them.
Having been reconnected with my own artistic process, I am aware of the importance and power creative recovery (and discovery) can be.
AFTER A SERIES OF MEETINGS, THE ARTIST WILL:
* Feel focused again
* Feel excited by their process
* Be more free to explore other media
* Have the skills to steer away from future impasses
* Discover personal insights
* Deepen artistic momentum
Phone consultations are also available for artists living outside the Boston area.
