I am drawn to non-representational art, because it endows the viewer with the freedom to associate, remember, and find sensorial response. Amidst passages of color, texture and form, one is invited to draw upon internal imagery and personal experience.  The interface and exchange between these passages are perceived as “conversations”, and act as metaphors for life’s interactions. Often, I add ribbon, micro-glass beads, and found objects to bring surface texture to the layered effect I achieve with fabric and papers. Images and patterns are hand-drawn. I do not use digital or media images in my work.

I am under representation at Soprafina Gallery, Boston, MA
